People refer to greenhouses by many different names. You may have heard them called shelters or even planthouses. A lot of people have asked a very intriguing question about greenhouses and planthouses, what is the difference between planthouses and greenhouses anyway?
Actually there is no significant difference between greenhouses and planthouses they are both made to provide shelter to your plants from adverse weather conditions, and actually it is just what you prefer to call this shelter for your plants.
Both of the structures are normally seen with a slight glaze over them, if they are made from glass like materials. This glaze actually helps to keep some of the excess sun that is normally prominent during the summer from shining in and actually causing your plants to welter or worse yet die.
So, obviously a planthouse is not different from a greenhouse it is no more than a figment of speech. If you were to ask someone in a store to point you to where the planthouses are kept they are going to show you greenhouses. This means that planthouses is just another term used for the greenhouse buildings.
People opt to obtain greenhouses for many different reasons. These shelters for plants or planthouses if you prefer to refer to them as that provide shelter for your plants from any environmental conditions that could cause them harm. Certain conditions such as excessive winds and excessive rain can actually be too much for some plants to bear.
Greenhouses allow you the opportunity to harvest your plants in what is referred to as a controlled environment. You are able to pick the temperature that you want your plants to grow in. This is why so many people are actually able to grow plants outside of their normal growing season, simply because greenhouses let you be in control of the growing process.
Greenhouses are actually another great way to keep pests away from your plants. However, do not get this statement misconstrued as there are still some pests that manage to slip into the dwelling unexpectedly. It will be up to you to ensure that they do not wreck havoc on your plants that are growing inside.
The next time that someone asks you to describe the differences between a greenhouse and planthouse you are open to laugh at them and explain the true difference between these two dwellings. Inadvertently the true difference is there is no difference
