Choosing the right cutting tool for the job can at first appear daunting.  In this section we have brought together a range of cutting and pruning tools to suit most applications whether inside or outside your greenhouse. In the detail section of each tool we go to some length to explain their best usage.

The range of cutting and pruning tools we have selected are from the reputable French manufacturer Arno.

Arno are a small manufacturer in the Auvergne region of France who have been making cutting tools and secateurs since 1927. Their expertise in the design and manufacture of forged precision cutting tools is beyond reproach. The range they offer gives the professional and amateur gardener a full choice of cutting tools for any important work in the garden and greenhouse. The tools are made of forged high-grade stainless steel. The blades on several of the designs have a unique design feature where the blades are grooved to improve the cut and lessen the strain on the hand and wrist. The design of the tools has been developed for maximum ergonomic comfort, whilst incorporating strength and durability in all the mechanical parts. These secateurs will give any gardener years and years of good solid use. Whilst Felco may be a better known brand name – The Arno brand is, in our opinion, on equal par - with all the experience and quality you would expect from a long established and respected manufacturer. There is a choice of pvc coated grip handles or the more luxurious leather grips. Both options are available on the two most useful sizes 20cms and 23cms size cuts. Spare blades and springs are also available so you can buy with confidence.
