Autovents are one of the most useful greenhouse accessories. Provided in a satin anodised finish and usually fitted to roof vents in greenhouses these wax filled pistons open in the warmth. The hotter the air temperature the wider the vent will open. Naturally as the temperature drops the wax inside the piston contracts and the vent will close again. If you’re away from your greenhouse on a warm day you can rest easy in the knowledge that your plants will get some ventilation.
