Aluminium 8 x 6 Technical Information

Aluminium-greenhouses are still the most popular choice of greenhouse among gardeners. Domestic greenhouses manufactured in aluminium offer different benefits to the gardener, compared to the wooden greenhouse equivalent. Aluminium greenhouses, especially if like our structures are powder coated, require very little upkeep, they are very long lasting and easy to keep clean. Simply wash the structure like you would your car to restore it to almost new, the added benefit is you only need to do this once a year. Green is the most popular colour choice when coating aluminium greenhouses. A ‘green’ greenhouse sits comfortably in most garden settings. The colour we have chosen is particularly sympathetic and we belive to be the best choice on the market. Greenhouses manufactured from Aluminium are also very strong. You will see that no other aluminium greenhouse compares to a Growhouse greenhouse for quality, strength and price. Cheaper greenhouses, and in some cases more expensive brands, are designed with ugly cross bracing brackets to make the greenhouse rigid. This is not the case with Growhouse – British engineering at its best.

Our glass panels are full length panes in toughened safety glass with no ugly overlapping panes of the glass like on cheaper greenhouses. The glass is all supplied with gasket preglued and fitted. The glass is held in place with aluminium capping and stainless steel screws, no ugly clips or plastic cappings that deteriorate over time.

Marine grade stainless steel fixings are fitted as standard throughout the structure. Stainless steel is suitable for use with aluminium due to its resistance to corrosion by the aluminium itself and the extreme weather conditions the British climate throws at it.

Fitted with high capacity green powder coated aluminium gutters and down pipes as standard. The downpipes are 40mm in diameter which makes them compatible with standard rainwater fittings. This ensures you can gather every drop of water into your water butts.

The 8x6 model is fitted with two roof vents as standard and two side wall vents. This creates a great environment for your plants which benefit from the excellent air circulation within your greenhouse.

We can also supply additional roof and side vents in addition to those shown on the plans for your particular model. Staging and shelving can be added to either or both sides of your greenhouse. Louvre vents can be fitted to provide additional ventilation. You can automate your roof
