BBC4's Gardeners' Question Time sells out in Melrose

Greenhouse enthusiasts aplenty in Melrose joined in the festivities to see BBC4's Gardeners' Question Time record two separate editions of the popular radio show as part of the tenth anniversary celebrations for the Melrose in Bloom competition.
The panel included broadcaster and television documentary presenter Eric Robson, as well as Gardeners' World's Pippa Greenwood, landscape architect Bunny Guiness and award-winning gardener Chris Beardshaw.
Secretary of Melrose in Bloom Pam Rowlands told The Southern Reporter the show had been invited over for a special celebration of the competition's tenth anniversary and she added the event was a complete sell out.
"The highlight was the wit and wisdom of the panel, they were very funny and we had lots of questions, which was my worry, that we wouldn’t have enough," she added.
Mrs Rowlands said people came from all over the Borders to enjoy the night and the panellists had a great deal of fun.
In September, the Gardeners' Question Time UK tour was cancelled with a lack of interest in the ailing show cited as one of the chief reasons.
