People thinking of investing in greenhouses may be thinking of attending this weekend's Harrogate Autumn Flower Show, which will mark their centenary celebration.
The Harrogate Autumn Flower Show is expecting tens of thousands of visitors over the three days which it is being held on the Great Yorkshire Showground.
Representatives of more than 100 of the country's top plant nurseries will be in attendance and there will also be daily demonstrations in the cookery theatre, as well as Ready, Steady Cook-style challenges with 17 of the region's leading chefs.
The show's marquee will house more than 3,500 dahlias, nearly 1,000 chrysanthemums and over 1,000 carnations, as well as the largest exhibition of Bonsai outside of Japan.
"Our message is that autumn is a terrific time to plant," the show's director Martin Fish told the Yorkshire Post.
Tickets for the show can be bought on the day, with a Friday and Saturday pass costing £14 and Sunday passes costing £13.
