People interested in investing in greenhouses may have been some of the 10,000 who headed to the Billingham Carnival and Garden show this weekend.
The produce tent displayed award-winning vegetables from locals and food that children from 14 of Billingham's schools had managed to grow.
Schools in the area have been running a number of gardening projects throughout the year and grew vegetables such as onions and cabbages.
Event organiser Roger Black told Gazette Live that the charity stalls had done particularly well over the weekend, making lots of money.
"It's been absolutely fantastic and we had the weather, which I order every year. It was a bit slow to start off with on Saturday but it picked up and lots of people turned up," he added.
The Billingham Carnival and Garden Show was held in partnership with the National Vegetable Society, which was formed in 1960 to help kitchen gardeners grow their own vegetables.
