Exotic Berkshire nursery 'well worth a visit'

Greenhouse enthusiasts looking for an interesting day out may like to hear the opinion of one expert who believes a garden in Berkshire could be well worth a visit.
In an article for the Daily Telegraph, Naomi Slade revealed she went to see the Edulis nursery and was fascinated by what she saw.
Covering an area of less than an acre, the garden makes up for what it lacks in size with all sorts of unusual edible plants and exotic fruits, she explained.
Sitting inside a Grade II listed walled garden that was once part of Bere Court Manor House, Ms Slade continued, the brick walls nicely offset the colourful contents.
"Many plants are familiar yet strangely different, while others are complete oddities. It is a bit like visiting a nursery in Narnia, only with curious plants rather than talking animals," the horticulturalist commented.
In a recent article for the Daily Mail, Martyn Cox claimed a palm can enliven any outside space and needs minimal care to thrive even in the cold climes of the UK.
