Conservatory owners 'should focus on what works'

Greenhouse enthusiasts may be interested to hear the opinion of one gardening writer who has outlined her style tips for those with a conservatory.
First of all, Anne Wareham explained in the Daily Telegraph, it is important not to focus on tender plants, but to "be preoccupied with good plants".
Secondly, she continued, once anything stops looking brilliant, throw it away.
"It's no good thinking they'll suddenly perk up and wow you. They won't. Ever," Ms Wareham explained.
One of the key factors behind a good looking space is ruthlessness and chucking out what doesn't work, the editor of outdoor space advice journal thinkinGardens explained.
The expert went on to suggest roses can make a great addition to any fashion-conscious conservatory, while tulips and hostas may also brighten things up.
Finally, Ms Wareham recommended keeping a compost bin in with the plants, as it is handy to have somewhere to throw dead leaves, weeds and even apple cores after a snack.
