Garden and greenhouse enthusiasts who have old equipment they are not using might wish to help out a charity by donating the tools to a good cause.
BBC News has reported that Bath-based mental health charity Mulberry House is appealing for help to clear its bramble-covered garden.
The house provides shelter for 13 people with mental health issues and is hoping to use the outdoor space as a project for its residents.
It is run by national homeless charity St Mungo's and spokeswoman Ruby Jennings told the news provider that it will happily accept all forms of gardening equipment, including spades, forks, wellies, plants and seeds.
"With plenty of hard work and some much-needed equipment this beautiful, south-facing garden can be restored to its former glory," she said.
"The garden will provide not only a source of fresh, sustainably-produced, healthy food for people living here but also a fantastic opportunity for residents."
Meanwhile, the Royal Horticultural Society recently revealed that it is to introduce a new Artisan Garden section to its Chelsea Flower Show next year.
