A garden and greenhouse attraction has marked its diamond anniversary by giving away a £2,500 prize to one lucky visitor.
Zoe Palmer-Smith was one of 766 botany fans who took part in the Royal Horticultural Society's (RHS) Diamond Quest at Garden Harlow Carr.
She, along with 317 others, managed to solve a series of clues that led to the Geoffrey Smith memorial statue along Streamside.
Her name was then entered into a draw, which took place on November 29th, to win a half-carat, brilliant cut diamond worth £2,500.
Head of the site Liz Thwaite and curator Elizabeth Balmforth drew Ms Palmer-Smith's name, meaning she will be the proud owner of the beautiful gem from Yorkshire jewellery designer Andrew Geoghegan.
"The diamond is a stunning half-carat brilliant cut with a Gemological Institute of America certificate. The colour of the stone is G and the clarity is VS2 - a truly beautiful stone," he said.
In other news, the RHS recently urged garden and greenhouse owners to insulate pots against the cold by using bubble wrap.
