Make the most of the garden during colder months

Garden and greenhouse growers who believe it is now too cold to make the best of their outdoor environment should think again.
According to Ronseal, autumn and winter can provide some of the year's more enjoyable garden experiences.
Product manager Kate Hodge recommended that Brits get wrapped up and get outside, where they can keep an eye on the local birds and other wildlife.
She suggested that the fresh air will be good for Brits and that a little chilly weather should not stop people making the most of their outdoor facilities.
The expert urged Brits to take care of their wooden surfaces by coating greenhouse frames, fences, decking and furniture in a protective sealant to guard against the rain, cold, wind and snow that is expected this winter.
This will also ensure that an attractive environment is maintained where homeowners can enjoy their garden, regardless of the weather.
"If it is really cold, a chiminea or patio heater is also a good idea as you can stay nice and warm whilst enjoying the outdoors," Ms Hodge said.
