Stuck in a garden rut? Head to public green space

Garden and greenhouse enthusiasts who are stuck in a horticultural rut have been encouraged to visit public green spaces.
Sites such as the Royal Horticultural Society's (RHS) Garden Wisley, Garden Harlow Carr and Garden Rosemoor should provide plenty of inspiration for Brits needing a green muse.
Ronseal research shows that more than two in five (42 per cent) homeowners spend less that £100 per year on their garden, with a large proportion only upgrading their green space once every five years.
However, garden designer Michelle Wake noted that such people can benefit from a trip to one of the country's public horticultural attractions.
"They can get out and go to the shows - the RHS shows, or to all of the beautiful public gardens," she said.
"England has got some of the most beautiful gardens in the world, so there really is no excuse for lacking in inspiration."
Each year, the RHS hosts a number of gardening events, such as the Chelsea Flower Show.
