Top home and garden website named

New research has revealed the top home and garden website in the UK to be diy.com.
According to Horticulture Week, the Experian Hitpoint figures show that the online resource, which is owned by B&Q, achieved an 8.46 per cent market share in the week to May 1st.
The rest of the top five consisted of homebase.co.uk, which attained a 4.97 per cent slice of the sector, screwfix.com, which has 4.66 per cent, ikea.com (3.33 per cent) and wickes.co.uk (2.67 per cent).
Other notable sites in the top ten included mothercare.com, focusdiy.co.uk and wilkinsonplus.com.
In other news, B&Q has launched a competition in its stores nationwide to find the tradesman with the best wolf whistle in the UK.
It is offering a £1,000 prize for the winner, with the World's Best Whistler David Morris judging the final.
To get there, entrants must impress B&Q staff with their tunefulness, etiquette, range, volume and creativity.
