A new place for London garden tips

London garden and greenhouse enthusiasts looking to grow their own food can now pick up tips from a new source.
The Healthy London Living website has recruited the help of online produce retailer Grown For You to create regular updates of hints on growing fruit and vegetables for the capital's residents.
Whether people are using their garden, greenhouse or simply a sunny windowsill, there is still a lot that can be done, explained Grown For You general manager Nick Coumbe.
"We're delighted to be able to team up with this new website and show just how easy it is to plant and tend your very own fruit and veg," he said, adding that the fresh taste of the food was its own reward.
Founded by Lesley Cohen, Healthy London Living also contains details on a range of local health products, courses, events, recipes and other related information.
Meanwhile, the Royal Horticultural Society recently revealed that research is being carried out into blackcurrants that do not need a long cold spell in winter to flourish.
