Gardens and greenhouses for lovers

Brits looking to impress the object of their desires this St Valentine's Day may wish to take them to one of the country's garden and greenhouse attractions, it has been claimed.
The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) suggested that a romantic stroll through a beautiful landscape could be the ideal solution to a common problem of where to spend the day.
A number of attractions are granting free entry to RHS members throughout the month of February, including the 18th century Georgian landscape garden at Somerset's Hestercombe.
The site features a range of grottoes, lakes, temples and trails set in a secret wooded valley in the English countryside.
Another good location for such a trip is Cheshire's Rode Hall, which is also offering free entry to RHS members.
Its snowdrop trail takes walkers through the Old Wood and ends in a large greenhouse, which is filled with the smell of hyacinths.
Meanwhile, the RHS recently revealed that slugs and snails have been voted the UK's biggest pain in terms of garden and greenhouse problems.
