Titchmarsh need not worry about garden centre role

Garden and greenhouse expert Alan Titchmarsh need not worry about his position at the BBC in relation to claims he breached his contract.
The corporation hit out at questions over whether the presenter had broken conflict of interest rules in his contract by working with garden centre chain B&Q.
It said that Titchmarsh, who is due to begin filming Alan's Garden Secrets soon and will present the Beeb's coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show in May, has done no wrong in agreeing to work with the firm.
B&Q explained that the expert is simply assisting its customers through providing advice on horticultural issues.
"Alan Titchmarsh is not endorsing our products. There is no plan for him to appear in B&Q TV adverts. He's helping with information to help get people gardening," said horticulture manager Steve Guy.
Titchmarsh, who counts Gardeners' World and Groundforce among his credits, also has his own radio show and hosts The Alan Titchmarsh Show on TV.
