Olympic garden competition winners revealed.

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has named the winners of its Olympic Park Great British Garden Competition.

Malmesbury's Hanna Clegg won the kids section, while Rachel Read from Colchester took the adult category.

Both will see their designs turned into reality by a team of expert landscapers in time for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Ms Read's entry included a spiral pathway lined with raised beds featuring flowers of every colour and plaques with the names of every British gold medallist from the past century.

Continuing with the Olympic theme, 11-year-old Ms Clegg's garden will include golden acorns, silver sundials and bronze water features.

She explained how she "jumped up and down" after hearing that she had come first out of more than 200 entrants. Around 4,000 RHS members voted in the contest.

The Olympics begin on July 27th 2012 and last until August 12, with the Paralympics taking place from August 29th until September 9th.ADNFCR-2584-ID-19489741-ADNFCR
