Greenhouse adds to "remarkable" garden

A couple whose garden was recently described as "remarkable" chose to have a greenhouse built on their 23 acres of land.
The Washington Post took a trip to Readsboro in Vermont, US to see Joe Eck and Wayne Winterford's property, which they named North Hill.
As well as a "lush hillside path" and a sloping vegetable garden, they have a beautiful cedar-sided cottage, livestock quarters and a guesthouse, as well as a lean-to conservatory attached to the house.
The newspaper's reporter, Adrian Higgins, expressed amazement at the plants the duo has been able to grow.
He also noted the shed next to the greenhouse and said it housed a large "rustic" table big enough to seat 20 people.
"There are feasts in this unlikely place," he added.
"For people who think sloping gardens are a nuisance ... this place demonstrates that changes of elevation add drama and mood to the landscape."
Those interested in gaining more knowledge of flora and fauna could visit the Royal Horticultural Society's Garden Wisley in September, when nine days of education will take place.
